UK voter registration website crashes before deadline for EU referendum

Senior British lawmakers have called for voter enrollment for the June 23 submission on EU participation to be revived after an administration site slammed in the blink of an eye before the due date on Tuesday night, hampering some individuals' endeavors to enlist.

The due date went at midnight (07:00 p.m. EDT), and a large portion of a million people enrolled online on the last day, as indicated by an administration site that gives information on the voter enlistment framework.

However, at 11:35 p.m., the Cabinet Office, the administration office accountable for the issue, tweeted that it knew about an issue with the site, which was because of exceptional request, and was attempting to determine it.

He was one of a few prominent legislators making comparable calls.

Asked whether some individuals had been not able register on time, a Cabinet Office representative said: "We attempted to determine situations where individuals attempted to enroll yet were not ready to." She gave no further points of interest."
