Belykh has been incredulous of the Kremlin and was once in the past pioneer of the Union of Rightist Forces party. Specialists denied there was any political explanation behind his detainment.
The court denied the safeguard's allure for house capture or safeguard and requested that Belykh be held until Aug. 24, a Reuters journalist reported from the court. It was not clear when the court would next meet to take a gander at the case.
"We consider this choice completely unlawful. We will offer against this measure to the Moscow city court," Belykh's legal advisor Sergei Teterin said.
"As to his honesty, I am certain that this will be the inquiry at the future hearing, and he has each opportunity to demonstrate it," Teterin said.
Kremlin representative Dmitry Peskov said on Saturday President Vladimir Putin had been educated about Belykh's detainment yet couldn't say whether he would be rejected.
