Former contestant from Mexico's 'The Voice' dies of gunshot wounds

A one-time finalist on the Mexican adaptation of the TV singing rivalry "The Voice" kicked the bucket on Saturday two days in the wake of being shot in Chicago.

Alejandro Fuentes, 45, was shot on Thursday in the wake of declining a shooter's request to escape his auto, as indicated by media reports.

Fuentes, a finalist in 2011 on "The Voice", claimed a studio and school in the city, and had quite recently left his birthday festivity, the reports said.

Fuentes' passing takes after the homicide a week ago of Christina Grimmie, a finalist on the U.S. rendition of "The Voice" who was shot and murdered while marking signatures in Orlando. Her attacker executed himself at the scene.

Powers are as yet looking for suspects in Fuentes' shooting.
