U.S. State Dept. condemns North Korea missile test

The U.S. State Department censured North Korea's terminating of a submarine-dispatched ballistic rocket on Saturday and said the rocket test abused U.N. Security Council resolutions.

"We approach North Korea to shun activities that further bring strains up in the area and center rather on stepping toward satisfying its global duties," the State Department said in an announcement.

The United States was checking the circumstance in close coordination with territorial associates and accomplices, it said.
