Ireland's fund priest said on Thursday said it would not work to present a hard fringe between Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic as a consequence of Britain's vote to leave the European Union.
"The vote in Northern Ireland brought up some major issues and obviously the enormous issue for Northern Ireland is are individuals genuine about having an area outskirt 60 kilometers north of Dublin cutting over the island? I don't imagine that is a runner," Michael Noonan told a parliamentary advisory group.
"In case you're controlling the development of individuals, I can't see why a course of action where the control focuses are at Larne (harbor) and Belfast Airport and wherever the entrance ports in the UK are instead of having some kind of cut over the center of our island. I surmise that is a unimaginable recommendation."
